How many women can have seven children to cater for and get an outstanding PhD? Outstanding because she is the first African woman in the world to earn a doctoral degree in Survey Methodology. Only amazing Alena Maze of Ugandan descent could pull it off and look like she never broke a sweat through it all.
To start with, Dr. Alena Maze was born to parents of Ugandan descent. She has a bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics. Is that woman crazy? Many of us see mathematics as alien attack. Yet this young lady got a degree in the pure one. Then she went for a Master of Science degree. After giving birth to another three children for her Korean husband, Alena dusted her school books and pursued a history-making doctorate.
Surprisingly, one would think she took the brave step because Alena’s seven children were all grown up. They are not. They ranged from teenagers to a little older than toddlers. How she managed them and the heavy workload that comes with the course will make an interesting book.
Maybe we can conclude it is youthfulness going for the amazing Alena Maze. Or we can say her husband is quite supportive and understanding. Or we can humbly admit that Maze is simply exceptional.
Now when we say exceptional, it is not only with getting her degree. We submit that she is an exceptional mother and wife. No matter how supportive her husband is, those little ones will demand attention. Even Mr. Lee will find a way to get the attention.
Finally ladies and gentlemen, drop an applause in the comments section, to this special genius who looks really good inspite of tackling so many crucial aspects of life at the same time. Amazing Alena Maze is an inspiration to all women.
