Nigeria’s Collete Nwadike wins Exquisite Face of the Universe in São Tomé, she has set a new record as the first ever black woman to be crowned the Exquisite Face of the Universe. The Nigerian Queen having won Miss Tourism Nigeria in May 2014, was appointed SA Tourism to the governor of Anambra state His excellency Chief (Dr.) Willie Obiano.
Miss Collete Nwadike defeated 50 other contestants from around the world, emerging Queen in the competition which held in Sao Tomo & Principe. After winning the crown she expressed that it was like a dream come true for her, saying she had always dreamed of winning an international pageant and was alas living her dream, which she thanked God for making possible.
She inherited the crown from Susan Castano of Dominican Republic who had won the 2014 edition. Miss Germany was the first runner-up, Miss Angola came in as the second runner-up; Miss Aruba came in third runner-up and the host country’s participant, Miss Sao Tome & Principe came in fourth runner-up.
During an interview with Sun news paper the beauty Queen dedicated her crown to every struggling girl, to every struggling woman who believes in her dreams; who sees herself in the spotlight. She went on to say “..don’t give up! Go after what you want.”
